One of my very favorite Irish lullabies, which really goes well on the baritone AEAA electric dulcimer.

This one is a mystical, magical piece I’ve been messing with for some years…….it should take you on a bit of an excursion if you give it a chance! Thanks for listening!!!
This one started life as “Skip’s Round” in 2015, and the ambient and ethereal takes became “Skip’s Heavenly Round” and now we have the new “Lullaby for a Starry Night” – which is quite similar to those more ambient versions.
I have been listening to many sleep playlists on Spotify at night, and I find that it can be a great way to get off to zzzz-land. This playlist is one that I have built over a few years now. Enjoy!!!
This is one of my favorite playlists of the ones I curate myself on Spotify. It has a wide variety of instruments and genres, but the common theme is a simple, folk-oriented approach to melody and harmony. You’ll hear some minimal pieces on piano by some of my favorite players, some great accordion work by the amazing Maria Kalaniemi, or some mesmerizing modal compositions by Whalebone (UK-based ensemble).
Most of the playlists I curate on Spotify contain tracks of guitar and plucked string instruments (including mountain and hammered dulcimers). However, since I’m connected to an outstanding international network of musicians who also curate their own playlists, I have made a special playlist of my favorite meditative pianists. Have a listen!! These instrumentals will take you on a journey!!!
I continue to update this autobiographical listening fest — not even up to the late 1970s yet, and I’m totally exhausted!!!
I DID find a splendid cover of the Green Leaves of Summer by the incredible Wes Montgomery!!!
When I was about 10 or 11 years of age, my mom took me to see the movie The Alamo. The soundtrack included a really powerful song called The Green Leaves of Summer
This is my first experience (that I can remember, anyway) of being overwhelmed by the emotion of a piece of music. Goosebumps galore for sure!!
So…..starting in chronological order — roughly — I’m starting a Spotify playlist that shows my musical influences over the years: This is Jerry with his “curator’s cap” on 🙂
The playlist will also include my guitar teachers and mentors over the years, and a few musicians I’ve had the pleasure to play some gigs with. Eventually I want to bring things up to the present day. ENJOY!!!
This is my first collaboration with the amazing Canadian acoustic guitarist Denis Turbide. It has a gentle, pulsating vibe as well as a kind of wistful yearning…..Thanks for listening!!!
I’m psyched to have my ambient electric dulcimer track Restful Mind included on this wonderful, peaceful playlist by the amazing Suzanne Doucet. I’ve been part of this anthology in a few previous years, and it is always such a joy to hear all the others!! This time around we really NEED this peace and anchoring…..

This playlist on Spotify has a good sampling of my recent recordings of electric and acoustic dulcimer. Most of this music is extremely relaxing and soothing: great for winding down, chilling out, meditating, or even sleeping!
If you like this playlist, I have some huge playlists on Spotify featuring some of the finest acoustic guitarists on the planet, along with some folks who play other string instruments, like harp, hammered dulcimer, and even Chapman Stick!!

I’ve been curating this playlist on Spotify for a few years now, and it really is one of my favorites. It started out as a very dreamy and sleepy set of tunes, and has evolved into more of a sunrise cycle — a “greet the new day” kind of vibe…..
